Rockwell’s most recent impactor fits nicely between the smallish 12v models and beefy 18v powerhouses.
Although marketed as a ’16 Volt’ driver, it’s just following the marketing trend of labeling with the MAX voltage – in usage, it’s a 14.4V driver.
This looks to be a simple driver, without too many bells and whistles. It’s one mode, but it has an LED, a belt clip, and rudimentary low-battery warning signal. This keeps the price down, without having to trade off too much in the way of power.
While it’s 950 in-lbs is far below the big drivers’ power ratings, it’s a good middle-of-the-road sort of driver.
Add in the Rockwell ‘Free batteries for Life’ program, and the value is that much more for this tool.
